Haseeb Sajid: Reinventing Dental Care with Innovation, Empathy & Integrity

A Leader Who Walks the Talk

When Haseeb Sajid steps onto factory floors or mingles at industry clinics, you sense his mission immediately: to make dentistry smarter, smoother—and more compassionate. From the moment he graduated with a bachelor’s degree, Haseeb Sajid embraced the dental world—not just as a career but as a calling. As CEO of TBS Dental, Haseeb manages everything from sales and marketing to R&D and manufacturing. Every morning, he juggles boardroom strategy with boots-on-the-ground patient care insights—because he believes a leader must live and breathe the change they want to see.

Heritage Meets Disruption

TBS Dental was founded in 1992, rooted in tradition and craftsmanship. But when Haseeb and his brother Hassan Malik took the reins, they had a vision: blend the trust of legacy with bold innovation. They introduced the patented FRINGS® forceps, which feature internal springs that reduce hand fatigue and improve precision—rewriting a dental tool standard unchanged for over 150 years. Soon came rezSHARP™ hygiene instruments, boasting ergonomic TWIST-handles and steel that stays sharp three times longer, thanks to cutting-edge materials and design. These flagship instruments reflect Haseeb’s belief that when functionality meets clinician needs, patient care flourishes.

Leading by Listening

Haseeb isn’t the type to perch behind a desk. He regularly visits clinics, stands beside hygienists, and watches dentists at work. That frontline presence helped identify opportunities—like the moment he saw forceps slip during extraction. Rather than shrug it off, he took action. “That was my lightbulb moment,” he recalls. This attentiveness informs every product iteration and cements trust between TBS and its users.

Hands-On Education & Outreach

Innovation isn’t just in the tools—it’s in education. Haseeb recently completed eight sold-out educational clinics in Richmond and Nashville, teaching advanced techniques like socket preservation and extraction-to-filling workflows. Led by experts such as Dr. Scott Ganz, these events underscore his belief: you can design the best tools, but unless you teach clinicians how to use them effectively, it isn’t enough.

Partners in Purpose

Beyond shaping instruments and skillsets, Haseeb channels profits into people. Through its partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project®, TBS Dental dedicates 2% of rezSHARP™ sales to support veterans—an initiative expected to exceed $250,000 by mid‑2025. The company also hosts volunteer clinics, which provide free oral care and camaraderie to wounded heroes. “We know our clinicians serve or care for veterans. This partnership is personal,” Haseeb explains.

Accolades That Follow Impact

Recognition has followed a commitment to product and social impact. Haseeb earned Most Innovative in the Medical Device Industry – USA from Business Worldwide Magazine in 2022 and has helped TBS earn seven consecutive years of awards from Dental Advisor for its oral surgery instruments. He’s also graced the cover of World’s Leaders Magazine as one of its Most Influential Leaders, and the brand is repeatedly recognized as an innovator breathing new life into a centuries‑old profession.

A Vision Rooted in Growth

Under Haseeb, TBS has grown from 25 to nearly 400 employees worldwide. Automation and vertical integration keep quality and timelines tight—from R&D through to delivery. The pandemic put his leadership to the test: in six weeks, they developed and launched ShieldVac, an HVE add-on to capture aerosols—a timely and crucial solution that demonstrated their agility.

Looking ahead, Haseeb wants TBS to continue challenging the dental status quo—not just with better tools but with better processes, enhanced clinician support, and technology that bridges gaps between user need and product design. He wants every TBS instrument to reflect both utility and care.

The Man Behind the Mission

Haseeb thrives in structured modernity—each morning embraced with purpose. Yet at day’s end, he values simplicity: quality meals with his wife, quiet evenings that anchor him. “Family keeps me grounded—it reminds me why this work matters,” he says. His focus, he admits, isn’t on vanity metrics—it’s about doing meaningful work and doing it well.

Words to Lead By

  • “One problem at a time.” Staying laser-focused keeps innovation actionable.
  • “Take smart risks.” When they launched FRINGS, uncertainty surrounded them—but so did conviction.
  • “Lead with empathy.” Whether it’s an exhausted vet or a fatigued hygienist, compassion drives his decisions.

Haseeb Sajid’s story is a study in modern leadership: rooted in respect for tradition, invigorated by innovation, and humanized by heart. TBS Dental may build better tools, but under his stewardship, it’s building something larger—a dental future where better care, empathy and efficiency coexist, instrument by instrument.
